For the last few months, most Phoenix Suns fans have wondered what’s next for Bradley Beal.
After two seasons with the team, it feels like Beal’s time in Phoenix may be coming to an end, but where will he go?
More importantly, how will the Suns work around his no-trade clause?
According to Marc Stein, the Suns and Miami Heat have had talks about Beal, but they haven’t gotten anywhere.
“The Suns and Heat had exploratory dialogue this week on a potential Bradley Beal trade, league sources say, but the talks ultimately collapsed. The rising expectation now is that the Suns could well end up buying Beal out of the contract that contains one of just two full no-trade clauses in the league — along with LeBron James’ deal in Lakerland — after Phoenix initially told various candidates interviewed during its recent coaching search that they might have to start the season with Beal on the roster,” wrote Stein, per NBACentral.

Beal has averaged 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists during his two seasons with the Suns.
Those aren’t horrible numbers, but the team has struggled and it’s clear that a lot has to change.
Phoenix has already gotten to work at shaking things up, sending Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets recently.
But they’re not done yet, and they obviously would like to cut ties with Beal.
Unfortunately, he holds one of the few no-trade clauses in the league, which means he has the power to veto any move he doesn’t like.
Beal holds the keys to his future, and he knows it.
Will he be willing to work with the Suns and find a new home or will he demand to stay where he is?
It sounds like the front office is hard at work attempting to make something happen, but they aren’t having much luck.
Will the Heat come back and offer another deal or will the Suns remain stuck with Beal?
