West Ham United have confirmed the arrival of new first team goalkeeper coach Linus Kandolin.

Kandolin, 34, moves to east London from Swedish club Elfsborg having spent the last six seasons with Di Gule.

The young coach previously worked with Graham Potter when West Ham's Head Coach was employed by Östersunds FK - a position he held before returning to the UK in order to manage Swansea City in 2018.

Kandolin, who has also worked with Sweden's Under 21s effectively replaces former first team goalkeeping coach Javi Valero, who completed a return to Liverpool this week after seven years in east London.

The Swede, who 18 years younger than his predecessor had recently extended his contract with Elfsborg until 2027, meaning West Ham needed to pay a fee to secure his services.

Kandolin will team up with his new colleagues, including first team squad stoppers Wes Foderingham and Alphonse Areola, when the senior squad returns to Rush Green for pre-season on Monday.
