Top Transfer for Everton as They Sign Spanish U23 Winger

Everton have already had a busy summer in the transfer market—and it’s only the first week. The Toffees recently announced multiple contract extensions, including one for Kelly Gago, and signed Dutch midfielder Rosa van Gool. Now, they’ve added another top-quality player to their squad: Ornella Vignola, a Spanish winger joining from Granada in Liga F.

The 20-year-old winger came through the youth system at Málaga CF before joining FC Barcelona B at just 16. She made her senior debut for Barcelona in her first season and featured in the UEFA Women’s Champions League the following year. After a loan spell at Sevilla FC during the 2022/23 season, Vignola made a permanent move to Granada, where she continued her development before making the jump to the [Women’s Super League](https://womenfootball.blog/womens-super-league-table-standings/).

“I am very happy to join Everton,” Vignola told evertontv. “I am really looking forward to getting to know the team and the fans, and to play and contribute as much as I can.

“The English league is well known for its competitiveness and I’m really looking forward to making my debut. I am super excited about this new challenge.

“It is a great opportunity for me, I am really looking forward to getting to know Brian and the way he works. I hope I can get a lot of minutes under him and be a key part of this team.”

Brian Sørensen said: “Ornella is a really promising talent who has shown her capabilities in big games,” he said.

“She is one of the most exciting upcoming players and is crucial to my plans for next season. She is a direct forward, who is not afraid to take her marker on and is a joy to watch when in full flow.

“She already has a good relationship with Toni and Inma, and I was very impressed when I met her. Her humble personality will make her a popular member of the squad.”
