Exclusive: Liverpool shouldn't be ruled out of the race to sign £63m star with 37 goals in 41 games

Liverpool have been one of the most active clubs this summer as they look to bolster their squad on the back of a Premier League win.

The Reds have already signed Florian Wirtz on a British transfer record. Liverpool have also signed Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to bolster their fullback positions.

While focus has turned to outgoings, it is suggested that the club intend to make a few more signings, with a new striker very much a priority.

Alexander Isak remains Liverpool’s dream target, but there are other names under consideration as well.

Victor Osimhen to Liverpool is a possibility

Among the strikers linked with a move to Anfield this summer, Victor Osimhen has emerged as a strong candidate.

It has been previously reported that Liverpool have discussed Osimhen during high-ranking meetings.

TBR Football previously reported that Osimhen turned down a big-money move to Saudi as he is keen on joining the Premier League.

And a move to the Premier League is on the cards, with several clubs interested in signing him. Speaking exclusively to TBR Football, Graeme Bailey stated that Liverpool should not be ruled out as they remain very much in the mix to sign the Nigerian.

The transfer expert also mentioned Manchester United and Newcastle as two other clubs who could look to sign him.

Discussing the player’s potential move to the Premier League, Bailey said: “Don’t rule Liverpool out of the Osimhen situation. Manchester United still like him, you know. Newcastle, if Isak comes to a head, don’t rule them out.

“Osimhen, we’re still we only just got to start July. He’s one I would keep an eye on as well for the Premier League. Push is going to come to shove soon but the Premier League clubs have got the bigger pockets with these European teams”

Victor Osimhen has an outstanding goalscoring record

The 26-year-old has attracted a lot of attention and rightly so, given his outstanding goalscoring form over the last few years.

Osimhen made a name for himself in Napoli, where he was a key part of their success, scoring 76 goals and assisting 18 in 133 games across all competitions.

He was loaned out to Turkey last season, where he scored 37 goals in 41 games across all competitions, assisting another eight.

Known for his strong physical presence, direct runs, and outstanding goalscoring ability, Osimhen would thrive in the Premier League, and perhaps even more so at Liverpool, playing alongside elite creators like Salah and Wirtz.
