Report: New Everton stadium issue already ‘playing on the mind’ of David Moyes already, it’s…

A historical summer is unfolding at Everton with plenty of work taking place both on and off the pitch.

David Moyes is now back on Merseyside and has welcomed back some of his players at Finch Farm.

With pre-season now getting underway, Everton’s recruitment staff will be beginning to feel the pressure rise to bring in some new faces.

Everton are set to retain Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane, but Moyes also needs some added quality in the transfer market.

There is so much for the 62-year-old to contend with this summer, and a stadium move will be right up there with his concerns.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium is set to be a financial game-changer for Everton, but it is apparent there is already something playing on Moyes’ mind.

David Moyes has Everton worry ahead of stadium move

Sean Dyche shared his concerns about leaving Goodison Park, with such a huge change being offered to the club.

Everton have a number of friendlies to play this summer, but they will not be playing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium until August.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the lack of exposure to the new stadium for his players is currently concerning Moyes.

It is believed Moyes wanted Everton to train at the Hill Dickinson Stadium before they play their first Premier League game.

However, the Toffees are going to have to wait until August 9 to take to the pitch of the new stadium against AS Roma.

Everton hope the new stadium will attract new players this summer, but it is apparent any new signings will have to wait to play on the Merseyside docklands.

It is far from how the 62-year-old planned to spend his pre-season ahead of the stadium move.

Final preparations taking place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium

A lot of praise has been heaped on the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the club’s move this summer.

But the preparations ahead of their first home Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion are not exactly going to plan.

The final touches are being put on the new stadium, with some fans recently showcasing the huge club crest being fitted to the side of the stadium.

Clearly, there was a hope inside the club these touches would already be in place, but Moyes will just have to grin and bear it.
