Portuguese Everton players Beto and Youssef Chermiti have paid their respects to Diogo Jota after Liverpool FC legend tragically died in a car crash on Wednesday evening.
The world was left in shock on Thursday morning after it was confirmed that Jota, alongside his younger brother Andre Silva, had died in a car crash. Jota had tragically lost his life less than two week after he had married his long-term partner. The 28-year-old was beloved by his family, teammates and friends, with tributes from across the world having been paid following his death.
On Friday, Former Everton player Ian Snodin was joined by the club's two Portuguese players in Beto (born in Portugal but representing Guinea-Bissau) and Chermiti in a heartfelt moment. The three had laid flowers down at the tributes site for Jota at Anfield, while paying their respects with a moment of silence.
This followed former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who had also had an emotional moment at the tribute site while in tears for his former teammate.
Henderson also posted a message on social media before returning to Liverpool to lay his own tribute, seeing in tears while surrounded by Reds fans.
Thousands of supporters have been around Anfield throughout the past 24 hours, with flowers and items being laid, while the club has opened books of condolence to be signed over the next few days.

A number of Everton fans have been seen at Anfield, with one facing some criticism for wearing his Blue Everton jersey in a pre-recorded video that had been posted by the Daily Mail.
Everton have paid their respects on their social pages as well as Beto and Chermiti doing so in person.
A statement from the club with words from former Everton midfielder Peter Reid read: "It's an absolute tragedy. Of course, there is the human side of it – we've lost a young man, who has just got married and has three kids.

"He was also a terrific footballer – charismatic and always played the game with a smile on his face.
"He will be in the hearts and souls of Liverpudlians forever. Coming together in difficult times is what we're about as a city. We play hard against each other and rightly so, but when anything happens to one of us, we get around each other as well. He'll be so sadly missed and all of our prayers our with his family and friends."
Jota's wake is being held in his hometown in Portugal on Friday, with tributes continuing to flood in.
The majority of Liverpool FC first-team players have posted on their social media platforms, joining the likes of LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Steven Gerrard.
