Cast, the band supporting Oasis at Cardiff this evening, have made a "touching" tribute to the late Diogo Jota by dedicating a song to him.
According to reports, the Liverpool legends – who are first on at the Principality Stadium before The Verve and then Oasis– dedicated their hit Walkway to the late footballer who tragically died yesterday. Cast are an English Britpop band formed in Liverpool in 1992 by John Power (vocals, guitar) and Peter Wilkinson (bass, backing vocals).
Cast's touching acknowledgement of Jota with Walkway – the song that soundtracked England's defeat at Euro 96 team – is the latest in an international outpouring of emotion for the Portuguese forward.

It comes after the 28 year old Portuguese star's Lamborghini suffered a tyre blowout, resulting in the fatal crash. Liverpool players have also been paying heartfelt tributes to their teammate.
Andy Robertson, the Reds' left-back, took to Instagram to express his condolences, saying: "The ones I'm thinking about most right now are the family. Their loss is too much to bear. I'm so sorry that they have lost two such precious souls – Diogo and Andre."
Robertson continued, "For the team and the Club, we'll try to cope with this together... however long that takes. For me, I want to talk about my mate. My buddy. The bloke I loved and will miss like crazy. I could talk about him as a player for hours, but none of that feels like it matters right now."
