The 2025 Portland Trail Blazers summer league team will be led by some familiar faces, as well as two rookies, when play begins July 11.
Leading the Blazers into the 2025 NBA Summer League session in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be rookie center Yang Hansen, whom the Blazers acquired the draft rights to during the June 25 NBA draft.
Center Donovan Clingan, last year’s No. 7 pick, is not on the roster. He is projected to be the team’s starter next season after Deandre Ayton was bought out of the final year of his contract and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Also added to the roster is former Oregon guard Keeshawn Barthelemy.
The Blazers added the veteran presence of guard James Bouknight, who played three seasons with the Charlotte Hornets after they selected him with the 11th pick in the 2021 NBA draft.
He averaged 4.8 points and 1.7 rebounds with the Hornets, and shot 36.3% from the field with a high of 43.9% in his final season (2023-24).
Guard DJ Carton also brings NBA experience. He appeared in eight games over the past two seasons with the Toronto Raptors. He went undrafted out of Marquette in 2021.
Coaching the team will be assistant coach Ronnie Burrell.
