Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly close to completing a move to Premier League rivals Burnley this summer.
Walker left City in the January transfer window for AC Milan after informing Pep Guardiola that he wished to take on a new challenge away from the Etihad Stadium.
In Italy, the 35-year-old full-back made 16 appearances across Serie A, Champions League and the Italian Cup.
However Milan, who have appointed Max Allegri as their new head coach, have declined the opportunity to sign the England international permanently.
With Walker looking for a new club, The Athletic understands the defender is set to join the newly promoted Clarets on a two-year deal.
The full-back has connections to Burnley already having played alongside their manager Scott Parker at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to City.
For the Blues, it is reported that the deal will be worth as much as £5 million should bonuses be achieved.
Walker's current contract at City was set to expire next summer.
It is claimed that Burnley see the move for the Englishman as a major coup as they look to build a team capable of surviving the drop this season.
Should the expected transfer be completed, Walker will return to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, September 27.
Guardiola's men will then visit Walker's new home for the return fixture on April 25.
