Newly promoted Burnley look to make a surprising move for Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, following his loan stint with AC Milan. The decorated full-back moved to Manchester in the summer of 2017 from Spurs. Walker’s time under Pep Guardiola was a success story as the club won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League.

As reported by David Ornstein, the Clarets are “closing in on” a move for Walker. The 35-year-old is taking his medical before the permanent move, which includes a two-year deal.
Furthermore, the deal is said to be worth up to £5m if bonuses are achieved. Ornstein also adds that Scott Parker’s side will see this as a ‘major coup’, due to the Englishman’s experience and success in the league.

The Manchester City legend’s arrival will add to the many signings completed by Burnley this summer. Bashir Humphreys from Chelsea, Lazio’s Loum Tchaouna and Marcus Edwards are some of the standout incomings, as the club looks to remain in the Premier League.
