It sees this group of teenagers continue their development in West Yorkshire while not only progressing their footballing careers, but also their education simultaneously.
Included in that list was Gray, alongside 14 others that have been tied down until 2027 on these scholarships:
Aiden Thompson, Callum Mills, Carrick Njinko, Harry Gray, Isaac Bridge, Jacob Howard, Jacob Watson, Joe Bhaskaran, Kenneth Mensah, Logan White, Loui Whitehead, Louie Philpott, Miller Megson, Oliver Wood, and Sam Alker are the youngsters staying put.
Frustrating waiting game as Leeds United plan out inevitable Harry Gray agreement
At 16, Gray is not yet allowed to pen a professional contract at Elland Road despite being someone seen with an incredibly bright future as a striker.
Daniel Farke handing the England youth forward a senior debut on such a memorable day is as good a sign as any that Gray is not going anywhere, and that’s before you consider the ties the teen has to this club through his historic family lineage before him.
However, as Leeds plan for the inevitable new contract for Gray to ward off the bigger fish circling one of England’s brightest talents, they will have to wait until his 17th birthday in October to confirm those fresh terms.
Leeds have already seen youngsters leave before their 17th birthday to other Premier League clubs on significant fees – notably Finlay Gorman to Manchester City and very recently Oliver Boast emerging as a new Tottenham recruit, two players in the same age category as Gray.
