**West Ham** have this afternoon been heavily linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck.
However, within minutes of the story surfacing in the Italian media, it was quickly rubbished by a Hammers training ground source, who claimed there is “no chance” of signing the German centre-back.
Corriere dello Sport, the Rome-based newspaper, reported that West Ham were among several Premier League clubs chasing Bisseck—alongside Tottenham, Manchester United, and Everton.

It was also pointed out that Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay are prioritising “rough diamonds” rather than high-paid, established players.
To be fair, the logic checks out. West Ham already appear well-stocked in central defence, with Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman, Nayef Aguerd, Dinos Mavropanos, and Kaelan Casey all expected to be involved in pre-season.
Meanwhile, England Under-21 star Charlie Cresswell has been mentioned as a possible target—should Aguerd leave—offering a more cost-effective and development-friendly option.
Bisseck, who has a contract with Inter until 2029, wouldn’t come cheap in terms of either wages or transfer fee—making the rumour feel like a non-starter.
