Chaotic scenes at Oasis reunion as flares set off in crowd see security to get involved

Chaotic scenes have unfolded at the Oasis reunion show at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff after pictures emerged on X showing flares being chucked around the crowd.

The flares are understood to have been lit during the band's rendition of Don't Look Back In Anger, prompting a security response who rushed to try and prevent any harm being done.

Amid a "biblical" set from the ageing Britpop rockers, there was also a medical emergency inside the stadium with someone understood to have bene stretchered off from the crowd. Security cleared a space and waved arms for people to get out of the way as a medical crew rushed to the woman's aid.

For the most part however, the huge crowd rammed into the Principality Stadium were well behaved and boisterously moshed to the band's iconic hits like Don't Look Back In Anger and tear-jerking encore Wonderwall.

Stand By Me was also an emotional one, a number which saw grown men crying in the crowd and hugging.

Our Daily Star correspondent, James Cabooter, witnessed the moving tribute by Liam and Noel Gallagher at the Cardiff gig tonight during the solo in Live Forever.

As the final notes of Live Forever rang out, an image of Diogo Jota, the Liverpool footballer tragically killed in a car crash earlier this week, was projected.

The audience responded with cheers and applause in appreciation of the gesture.

This marked the second tribute of the evening, following a support act's earlier dedication of a song to the late Liverpool star, reports the Daily Star.
