Oasis have paid tribute to Liverpool star Diogo Jota after he died in a fatal car accident on Thursday night alongside his younger brother, Andre Silva. During Live Forever, the Mancunian band showed a huge photo of the Portuguese forward on the Principality Stadium screens as they dedicated the song to the star.
The 75,000-strong Cardiff crowd watched on as they remembered Jota on the evening of his public wake in Portugal. One fan waved a Portugal flag in the air, in recognition of the 28-year-old who made 49 appearances for his country.
Jota and his brother died in a car crash when their Lamborghini left a road in Zamora after a tyre blowout before catching fire.
The tragic accident happened just 11 days after Jota married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso. The pair share three children together.
