Manchester United have granted several first team players permission to leave the club.

The Blues have already added Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to Enzo Maresca’s squad but, known as big spenders, aren’t expected to stop there. Several first team stars such as Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson could leave Stamford Bridge, freeing up space for arrivals.

The Magpies are also in the market for attacking reinforcements as they prepare for a return to the Champions League. The Manchester Evening News had named both Chelsea and Newcastle United as potential suitors for Garnacho.

Manchester United confirm big Alejandro Garnacho decision

Now ManchesterWorld confirms that Manchester United will grant Garnacho an extended period of holiday after he confirmed his decision to leave the club. The winger will not reunite with teammates on Monday at the return to training.

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are also included alongside Garnacho in a group that will not be at Ruben Amoriom’s first training session, having also expressed their desire to leave Manchester United. Those players have been given a later date to return in a bid to help them sort moves.

ManchesterWorld writes: “United sources insist they respect and understand the decision of the players and have delayed their required return date until later in July to allow them time to explore possible transfers. The club insists their medical and rehabilitation facilities will remain available to the players should any wish to come in and use them, and remote support will continue as always. If their players are not resolved during the extended break, they will all be welcomed back to Carrington ahead of the new season.”

“Manchester United have confirmed they will not stand in the way of the players who wish to leave the club in the summer transfer window and will allow them an extended break to facilitate potential transfer exits.”

Chelsea and Newcastle United compete for winger

It’s a boost for clubs chasing transfers for those players. Garnacho has been regularly linked with a move to Chelsea since January with Serie A giants Napoli also interested. It is expected that Manchester United would sanction a £45 million departure for the player, despite first wanting upwards of £60 million.

The MEN adds that Newcastle United are in the race and could view Garnacho as an easier answer to their hunt for a winger, despite interest in Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo and Nottingham Forest man Anthony Elanga.
