Mikel Arteta will be hoping Andrea Berta splashes the cash on a new striker this summer. Arsenal have already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, and they've got deals lined up for Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, which is great, but they're still yet to bring in a number nine.
Berta better get a move on because pre-season gets underway next week, with players beginning to return to the Sobha Realty Training Centre from Monday, football.london understands. It won't be long before the Gunners are back in action either, with a few friendlies penciled in before the end of the month.
There's a lot of work to be done at the Emirates Stadium this summer, but there's still plenty of time. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Arsenal news and transfer gossip.
Gyokeres snubs Saudi offers amid Arsenal talks
According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Viktor Gyokeres has snubbed lucrative offers from Al Hilal and Al Qadisiyah, who were prepared to offer him millions. The report claims that the 27-year-old striker wants to join Arsenal, with his agent working hard to close a deal.
It's said that Hasan Cetinkaya is close to reaching a verbal agreement on personal terms with Andrea Berta, who has reportedly been leading discussions. Record adds that Arsenal, however, have yet to agree on a fee with Sporting.
football.london says: "Andrea Berta needs to get a move on. Pre-season starts soon and he still hasn't signed Arsenal a striker. Alexander Isak looks set to stay at Newcastle United, so it's either Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres. They're both good options in their own right, so no one can really blame him if he goes for one or the other."

Madueke is open to Arsenal switch
According to The Guardian, Arsenal enquired about Noni Madueke during talks with Chelsea over the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga. The report claims that the Blues winger is thought to be willing to join Arteta's side, and he could be available for about £40m.
It's said that Chelsea, however, value Madueke at £50m. The Guardian adds that the 23-year-old has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs too.
football.london says: "As much as Noni Madueke struggled towards the end of last season, it would be a shame to see him leave Chelsea. That said, I doubt he would be satisfied with playing second fiddle to Bukayo Saka. I also doubt that he would be brought in to rival Gabriel Martinelli on the left."
Arsenal wrap up deal for ex-United defender
According to The Athletic, Gabriel Heinze will join the Mikel Arteta's coaching staff at Arsenal. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender is set to replace Carlos Cuesta, who recently left the Gunners to become the new head coach for Parma.
Heinze, who played with Arteta at Paris Saint-Germain during the 2001/02 season, has previously held managerial roles at Godoy Cruz and Newell's Old Boys in the Argentine top-flight as well as Atlanta United in the MLS.
Speaking to reporters about a year or so ago, the Arsenal boss recalled his time in the French capital. Arteta said: "The other inspirations were (Mauricio) Pochettino and Heinze.
"Those two were next to me all the time, behind me, and they were guiding me in everything I had to do in my professional life, how I had to understand the game and they were inspirational to me."
football.london says: "Mikel Arteta will be delighted to have got this deal over the line. One of his favourites. Maybe Arsenal can finally sign a new striker now?!"
