Everton arguably need to reinforce their attack with someone like Juventus striker Timothy Weah this transfer window.

The United States international struggled for consistent starts at the Serie A giants after the arrival of Igor Tudor and could soon leave the Italian outfit.

David Moyes wants Weah at Bramley-Moore Dock, with Leeds United also interested in signing the forward.

It seems like only a matter of time before Villarreal striker Thierno Barry is announced as a new Blues player, but they will arguably need to work hard to sign Juventus’ 25-year-old winger as their second attacker this summer, as contact has been made already.

Olympique Marseille have approached Weah regarding a move this summer amid links to the Toffees, according to L’Equipe.

The news outlet reports in its print edition (5 July, page 32) that the Ligue 1 outfit have the versatile forward who can play across the front line on their radar, but an official offer hasn’t been made yet.

It’s been claimed that the American national with 44 caps for the USA would like to leave Juventus in the coming weeks, but the Blues are behind the Ligue 1 outfit in the race for the winger, who would cost around £13million.

The Merseyside outfit have lost Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom, and arguably need to bolster the right side of their attack, where the Bianconeri’s forward has played for most of his career.

Moyes should push for Weah transfer at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Moyes has lost Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the striker refused to extend his contract at the Toffees, and they must now undoubtedly look for replacements.

The Scottish manager could also be without another centre-forward next season, with Youssef Chermiti being linked with Stoke City.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Beto is the only number nine from the previous campaign that the 62-year-old head coach will have at his disposal after the ongoing transfer window concludes.

Barry’s arrival at Everton will surely be a big boost, but their forward line evidently requires more depth.

Weah’s arrival could give Moyes an invaluable option in the team, capable of filling multiple positions when needed.

While the 25-year-old’s strength doesn’t lie in his goalscoring ability, the forward’s pace and work rate will be something the Scottish manager would certainly cherish.

The Toffees clearly need someone like the USA international at their disposal, but how his situation unfolds in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
