Man Utd reveal five players have told club they want to leave - how much they're worth revealed

Ruben Amorim will be taking this summer as an opportunity to reshape the Manchester United squad – and the club have reported that five players have expressed their desire to leave. How much each player of the quintet is worth has been revealed.

After a hodgepodge campaign last time out, the Portuguese tactician – one of the best young managers in world football – has already reinforced his attacking ranks with the arrival of Matheus Cunha, but there are also some expected to move the other way.

The rest of the team – Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro and Bruno Fernandes included – will be gearing up for the impending season this coming Monday after enjoying their off-season breaks. But for the five players on the books, that won’t be the case.

Five Man Utd Players Express Desire to Leave

They are able to continue using Carrington facilities while finding a new club

Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have all told Old Trafford chiefs of their desire to play elsewhere next season. As such, according to GIVEMESPORT’s Ben Jacobs, they are part of the group that will not report to Carrington on Monday.

Amorim and his entourage are reportedly understanding of their desire to move onto pastures anew in the coming months – and thus, they are allowing them extra time to find new clubs rather than returning to training for a team they don’t want to play for. Their return date, however, has been delayed until later in July. In the meantime, all medical and rehabilitation facilities will be available for use, while remote support will continue as normal.

Manchester United have also stated that if any player fails to find a new employer before the summer transfer window, a return to Carrington – where they will continue to have full access to medical and training support – would be expected.

But how much, per Transfermarkt’s figures, are the quintet of stars worth? Rashford – whose No.10 shirt has already been handed over to Cunha – has a market value of €50m (£43.16m) but whether Hansi Flick’s Barcelona (his preference) are able to fork that out for a 27-year-old remains to be seen.

At the back end of May, it was revealed that Amorim had told Garnacho that he’d be lucky to find a new club – and he, given his age and promising numbers, is worth €45m (£38.84m). Although Chelsea are keeping tabs, the club are yet to receive an offer.

Sao Paulo-born Antony, signed from Ajax in the summer of 2022, is the third-most valued player of the bunch – at €35m (£30.21m). Malacia arrived in the same summer as the Brazilian but is worth far less. He’s got a market value of €8m (£6.9m).

Last but not least, there’s Sancho. The Red Devils spent years formulating a plan to snare him from Borussia Dortmund – and a deal was struck in 2021. Four years later, the dream is over, and it’s time to part ways as, in 83 appearances for his current employers, he plundered just 12 goals and six assists.
