Leeds United transfer window predicted as Manor Solomon signs and double deal completed

Leeds United can expect to have a busy end to the summer transfer window over the next couple of months.

Daniel Farke and Co. will be busy looking ahead to the club's return to the Premier League following their automatic promotion from the Championship last term.

Part of the preparations at United will involve bringing reinforcements into the squad at Elland Road to build a competitive squad for the return to the top flight. A host of players have already been linked with moves for Leeds this summer, but it remains unclear at this point what the final squad Farke will have at his disposal going into the Premier League campaign will be.

Three new signings have already been confirmed by Leeds, with striker Lukas Nmecha, centre-back Jaka Bijol and defender Sebastiaan Bornauw all moving to Elland Road.

Leeds have until September 1 to complete their transfer business, so there's still plenty of time to get deals over the line. The Whites have another mini-deadline to keep in mind, with the first fixture of the Premier League season kicking off on August 18 against Everton.

In terms of how the transfer window may pan out, there were hopes that Leeds would complete the signing of Habib Diarra. However, the midfielder has instead joined Sunderland in a permanent deal from Strasbourg.

As a result, Leeds will now look to pursue other targets this summer, starting with left-back. A replacement for Junior Firpo will need to be found, with Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno continuing to be linked with a move to Elland Road this summer.

Signing a player of Moreno's experience would be a shrewd deal for Leeds to complete ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Now, the attention for Leeds would likely see them turn to midfield and centre forward. The reported interest in Diarra shows that United would like to sign a new midfielder, with Hoffenheim star Anton Stach one of the latest names mentioned as a potential target.

There have even been reports this summer stating that Juventus star Douglas Luiz may be a target for Leeds this summer. So it seems clear that the Elland Road hierarchy are keen to strengthen the middle of the park going into next season.

It remains to be seen what striker Leeds will look to sign this summer, if they do decide to bring in a new centre forward. It would not be a surprise to see United look to bring Manor Solomon back to the club following his successful loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur last term.
