Everton could potentially complete a blockbuster transfer move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The Englishman, with 22 caps for the Three Lions, joined the La Liga outfit from Chelsea in 2024 and has been an influential player under Diego Simeone.
David Moyes wanted to make Liam Delap his marquee signing at the Toffees this summer, but the former Ipswich Town striker instead moved to Stamford Bridge.
Idrissa Gueye is expected to stay at Bramley-Moore Dock, but he may want to reconsider, as a mega deal for Gallagher could be sanctioned by The Friedkin Group (TFG) in Merseyside.

TFG may make a move for Gallagher soon.

The news outlet reports (4 July) that the England international still has admirers in the Premier League, with the Blues willing to put close to £43million on the table for him.

It’s been claimed that while the 25-year-old is an integral part of the Spanish club’s plans for now, a considerable offer could lead to his exit sooner than expected.
TFG shouldn’t think twice about making an offer for the former Chelsea star, who would arguably become the face of their project at the Hill Dickinson Stadium if signed.

Moyes should push Friedkins to make Gallagher transfer a reality
Moyes did a brilliant job at Goodison Park last season, helping the Toffees finish 13th in the Premier League after relegation looked a possibility under Sean Dyche.
The Scottish manager has done enough to deserve Dan Friedkin’s backing in the ongoing transfer window, and he should push the American owners to make a significant investment this summer.
With several players leaving the Blues recently after their contracts expired, they have the opportunity now to rebuild their squad.
Everton are expected to announce Thierno Barry as their first summer arrival soon, but more additions are evidently needed to build a competitive squad for next season.
While the number nine position should be a priority for the Toffees after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure, a strong midfield addition could arguably be a game-changer.
James Garner and Gueye formed an impressive partnership at the Blues last season, but most of their attacking quality came down the wings.
Gallagher has shown a keen eye for goals and creativity over the years, and could be the transfer needed to spruce up the Merseyside outfit’s engine room, but only time will tell whether a move will materialise.
