Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has parted ways with his long-time agent, Josy Comhair, in what has been described as a mutual and amicable decision, according to recent reports. The Belgian international has now signed with German-based DH Sports and Entertainment Agency, a move that comes as Comhair faces ongoing health challenges.

While the change in representation has sparked speculation about Trossard’s future, sources close to the player insist the decision was personal rather than professionally motivated. Comhair had represented Trossard since his early days at Genk, and the split was reportedly based on mutual respect and understanding.

“It was an amicable decision with Comhair battling health problems,” reported football journalistRyan Taylor, dispelling rumours that the change signals an impending departure from the Emirates.

Trossard, 30, has been a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion for £27 million in January 2023. Known for his versatility and clutch performances, he has contributed 28 goals and 19 assists in 123 appearances across all competitions. His most memorable moments include a dramatic equaliser against Manchester City in the 2023 FA Community Shield and a vital goal against FC Porto in the 2024 UEFA Champions League.

Despite his importance to the team, contract negotiations between Trossard and Arsenal have reportedly stalled. His current deal runs until June 2026, with the club holding an option to extend by an additional year. Talks of an extension, potentially running through 2029 with an improved wage from his current £90,000-a-week salary have been ongoing since January, now led by new sporting director Andrea Berta.

The delay in securing a new deal has attracted interest from clubs abroad, including from the Saudi Pro League. Arsenal previously turned down a £29.4 million bid from Al Ittihad last summer, and with Trossard nearing the final year of his deal in 2026, the Gunners could be forced to make a decision should a significant offer arise. There is speculation that the club could consider a sale to help finance a move for a younger striker, such as Benjamin Šeško or Alexander Isak.

Nevertheless, Trossard is said to be keen on continuing his career at Arsenal and remains focused on resolving contract talks. His new representatives at DH Sports and Entertainment are expected to lead negotiations moving forward. Manager Mikel Arteta has consistently praised the Belgian’s football intelligence and tactical flexibility, saying, “He’s a player that fits our way of playing for sure.”
