Leicester have parted company with Jelle ten Rouwelaar. The Dutch coach came to Leicester to assist Ruud van Nistelrooy. No surprise to see him leave to take the vacant position as goalkeeper coach at Brighton.
This follows after Brian Barry-Murphy left to become the new Cardiff manager. Both Barry-Murphy and ten Rouvelaar arrived at Leicester just after Ruud van Nistelrooy came in.
Jelle ten Rouwelaar was part of the staff at Man Utd under Erik ten Haag. The 44 year old former goalkeeper with a legendary past at NAC Breda sadly had little or no time to show his worth at Leicester, being at the club during a difficult time.
Seeing him leave was somewhat disappointing. His coaching skills and goalkeeper background might have been something to build on.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jelle ten Rouwelaar as the club's new goalkeeping coach. 🧤

This also gives a good clue of what will be next. Andy King and Andrew Hughes are the two who are left at the club from the previous coaching staff.
We wish Jelle ten Rouwelaar all the best on his journey in football, next up is Brighton. He has been working at a number of different places since retiring from playing in 2016. He was first with NAC as a goalkeeper coach until 2020. He has been with the Netherlands U.20, Anderlecht, Burnley and Ajax, before Man Utd and Leicester.
