Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Inter Milan defender Yann Aurel Bisseck.

The 24-year-old could be made available for transfer this summer as Inter look to make room to sign Giovanni Leoni from Parma.

Bisseck was recruited for €7 million in the summer of 2023 from Danish side Aarhus and is now valued at around €35 million.

Villa are targeting a centre-back this summer following Axel Disasi’s return to his parent club, Chelsea, after a loan spell at Villa that began in February.

Disasi had been brought in to replace Diego Carlos, who was sold to Fenerbahçe in January, before Villa then turned their attention to Sevilla's Loïc Badé, though the Frenchman declined the opportunity to join.

Monchi is not currently planning to return to Sevilla in pursuit of Badé.

Bisseck, meanwhile, would represent a coup for Villa if they can strike a deal with Inter and persuade the German international to make the move.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the defender is a top target for Villa this summer, with Unai Emery reportedly urging Monchi to negotiate a deal.

Bisseck featured in all but two of Inter’s Champions League matches last season, before the Serie A side lost 5–0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

He came on in the final five minutes of that match but started both semi-final legs against Barcelona, which Inter won 7–6 on aggregate.

In Serie A, Bisseck scored three goals and registered two assists in 27 appearances last season.
