The situation surrounding [West Ham’](https://www.claretandhugh.info/how-much-west-ham-chasing-e30m-hitman-with-huge-price-drop/)s pursuit of Mathias Kvistgaarden, player I wrote about yesterday, has taken an unexpected turn. After reports suggesting RC Lens were close to finalising a deal with Brondby, Championship side Norwich City have now entered the race. Late last night it was revealed that the Danish striker is leaning toward a move to Carrow Road, with the Canaries now in pole position. Kvistgaarden has reportedly agreed to a four year deal with Norwich.
The 23 year old is a graduate from Brondby’s academy, playing 126 games and scoring 47 goals for the club, including an impressive 23 goals last season. Kyle Macaulay identified the striker who made his debut for Denmark in June, coming on a substitute in their 2-1 win against Northern Ireland.
There were concerns over his physical stature, standing at 5ft 8” and it is believed Graham Potters preference is to have a taller, more traditional target man in a central role. A number of other names have been mentioned including fellow Danes Kasper Dolberg at Anderlecht and Mika Biereth who is playing for Monaco. The Hammers have also not ruled out a move for Evan Guessard, who has also attracted attention from Tottenham, Brighton, Villarreal and AS Roma.
As of now, regarding Kvistgaarden there has been no official confirmation of the move from either Norwich or Brondby.
