Player ‘packing his bags’ for Everton – Deal done, hunt on for replacement

Thierno Barry is currently packing his bags for Liverpool as he gets set to join Everton, with Villarreal already seeking a replacement.

That’s [according to Superdeporte](https://www.superdeporte.es/), who cover Villarreal’s search for a new striker today as Barry gets set to join Everton this summer.

According to them the Spanish side are already on the lookout for a new centre-forward to replace Barry, who will join Everton for a transfer worth around €40m.

They say that ‘while Barry packs his bags for Liverpool’, Villarreal are combing the market, analysing the options available to them. They are yet to find a striker that they like and desperately want, though.

There are numerous options for them to explore, particularly with the money from Everton in their pockets.

Either way, the continued word from Spain is that the deal taking Barry to Merseyside is done, sealed and simply needs to be announced at this point. When that happens is now the main question.

He’ll become Everton’s second signing of the summer after Charly Alcaraz made his loan move permanent last month and is unlikely to be the last arrival in what is expected to be a busy summer reshaping for David Moyes.
