Liverpool star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva are being laid to rest today after their tragic, and untimely passing earlier this week.
The beloved striker, 28, was travelling in a car with his younger sibling in the north of Spain in the early hours of Thursday (July 3) when they fatally crashed.
It is believed that the accident, on the A52 known as Palacios de Sanabria, close to the city of Zamora, was caused by a blown-out tyre.
The pair of brothers were travelling on the road to embark on a ferry ride that was bound for the UK, just ahead of a return to pre-season training.
However, Jota and Silva, who played for Portuguese side Penafiel, sadly didn't finish their journey - causing on outpour of grief amongst family, the football world and beyond.
The bodies of the footballers have now been returned to their native Portugal, where a wake was held yesterday (July 4) ahead of the funeral service at Igreja Matriz de Gondomar (the Mother Church of Gondomar) today.
Funeral attendees have started to pour into the church to collectively grieve and show their respects to the Diogo and Andre. Those outside the church in Gondomar, which is the hometown of the brothers, have broken into applause as the Liverpool team arrived with a tribute for their teammate.
Diogo's wife, who he only married just 11 days before his death, and mother of his three children Rute Cardoso arrived at the funeral as was immediately embraced by a mourner.
Here, we take a look at those attending the funeral including Portugal manager and former Everton FC boss Roberto Martinez and Liverpool teammateVirgil van Dijk.
