"I Think They're Going To Lose Him" - Man City, Liverpool And Chelsea Could Steal €55m Arsenal Star

Reports have suggested that Liverpool, Man City or Chelsea could sign Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri.

The Gunners are looking to bring in several new players this summer, especially in attack. They are linked to signing Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres up front, and also Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze on the wing.

However, much of their summer will also be spent making sure they keep some of their best players. 18-year-old winger Ethan Nwaneri broke out into Mikel Arteta’s side last season, making 37 appearances, with nine goals and two assists.

Arsenal could lose Ethan Nwaneri

But, it now seems that the 18-year-old could potentially leave the Emirates. According to TBR Journalist Graeme Bailey, with Nwaneri’s contract due to expire next summer, the winger could genuinely leave, if he decided he wants to join a different club.

Bailey said: “With Raheem Sterling leaving, that does open up the right hand side, but the real concern for Arsenal is obviously Nwaneri. I think they’re going to lose him. Yeah, it’s looking very, very bad for them in that area – and it’s nothing to do with the finances or anything.

“Nwaneri will be one of the most wanted players. If he gets to next summer and he hasn’t signed his contract, he’ll literally have his pick of clubs from around the world.

“I’m told he’s got his pick of clubs around Europe when he’s out of contract next summer. He’s loved around Europe. He’s loved in England, you know. He will have Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City. He will have them all on his doorstep.”

Nwaneri’s current Arsenal contract is due to expire in June 2026, and so the Gunners will want to tie him down to avoid any risk of losing him. With an estimated market value of around €55m (£47m), it would be all but criminal if the Gunners were to let him leave for free.
