Leeds United are in a race against time as they look to sign Juventus forward Timothy Weah this transfer window.
The 25-year-old signed for the Serie A giants in 2023 from LOSC Lille, but has dropped down the pecking order under Igor Tudor.
Weah has been linked with a move to Elland Road, with the Whites monitoring the American national’s situation at the Allianz Stadium.
Former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was also on the West Yorkshire outfit’s radar, but his wage demands are too much, and Adam Underwood should now shift focus to more realistic targets.

It’s been claimed that while the 25-year-old is on the radar at Elland Road, the Whites are behind the French club, with the Serie A giants wanting around £13million for him.
Marseille are yet to submit a bid for the American forward, and 49ers Enterprises can’t keep the Bianconeri waiting, with multiple teams eyeing the winger’s signature.

Weah transfer a no-brainer for the 49ers at Leeds
Dan James’ contract extension at Leeds will come as a major relief for the 49ers as they look to build the team for the Premier League.
The Whites lost Junior Firpo after his deal at Elland Road expired at the end of June, with a move to Real Betis likely for the free agent.
Joel Piroe was Daniel Farke’s only reliable outlet up front last season, and while the Dutchman can shine in the English top flight, he can’t be expected to shoulder the goalscoring burden.
Leeds undoubtedly need several additions across their squad, and it looks like centre-back shouldn’t be a position of concern after Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw’s arrival.
The Whites should shift focus to bolstering their midfield and attack, and Weah feels like a perfect option for them.
Over the years, the 25-year-old has showcased his versatility by playing across the front line, contributing with his tenacity and work rate.
With Juventus looking for a reasonable fee, the West Yorkshire outfit have a no-brainer decision to sign the American forward, but it remains to be seen where he will end up this summer.
