Illan Meslier could top the list of high-profile departures from Leeds United this summer.

The French goalkeeper was forced to watch promotion to the Premier League from the bench, having been dropped by Daniel Farke in the final couple of months.

Karl Darlow stepped in, but neither is expected to start in the Premier League.

The same can be said for Max Wober, who became the first contracted player to leave Elland Road this summer, joining Werder Bremen in a PSR-friendly loan move.

Despite only being an initial loan, the Bundesliga side are said to have the option to sign Wober permanently next summer.

His book value would make that more profitable to those at Elland Road.

Bremen posted a welcome image for Wober on Instagram after the move was finalised, with Meslier among those to like it.

Ilia Gruev and Joel Piroe also reacted to show their support for the Austrian.

It is no secret that promoted sides face tighter PSR constraints in the Premier League, so they have to be smart with their business.

Sunderland may appear to have spent heavily, but they have also brought in £40million from the sales of Jobe Bellingham and Tommy Watson [Mackem News].

Leeds have players on much bigger wages, so even if they don’t bring in those types of fees for the likes of Meslier and Wober, they will still help.

Meslier was said to have agreed on a move to Turkey, but despite that being shut down, it shows that there is possible interest to end this nightmare for all parties.

Farke wants a new goalkeeper, and the shortlist is growing larger by the day.

Lucas Perri of Lyon and Chelsea wonder Djorde Petrovic are both expected to leave their clubs within weeks, and Elland Road is a likely destination for either.

The 49ers Enterprises are moving very quickly at Rangers, and Leeds fans will expect a similar sort of movement in West Yorkshire very shortly.
