Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has told the Saudi Pro League club to sign Arsenal target and Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo this summer, according to Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is a fan of the Brazilian, and his coaching staff really admire the 24-year-old too as they believe he could be an option on the left and right of their attack.
Rodrygo has featured in discussions internally at Arsenal since the latter part of last season, and Madrid and their manager Xabi Alonso are reportedly open to his summer exit.
However, Al Nassr have emerged as a huge threat to their chances of landing the attacker, and they have offered him a blank check to convince him to join the Saudi Pro League club.
Rodrygo has told them that he would prioritize a move to the Premier League should he leave Madrid this summer, which could give Arsenal an advantage in the race, but they are willing to convince by handing him an offer he cannot refuse.
He is expected to leave the La Liga club as he does not appear to be in the starting XI plans of the new manager, and suitors will be watching the Club World Cup round of 16 game against Borussia Dortmund tonight with a keen interest.
The Arsenal target did not make an appearance in their last game against Juventus and limited participation in the competition going forward will speak volumes.
The Gunners want an upgrade on their current options on the left wing, and Rodrygo fits the bill, but they may now have to break the bank as they look to convince him to join them ahead of Al Nassr.
