Tyrell Malacia has taken to social media after informing Manchester United he would like to leave the club this summer.
On Friday, The Manchester Evening News reported that five players had briefed United they would like to leave the club to explore opportunities elsewhere. Those players were Malacia, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.
With members of United's squad set to return to Carrington next week, the five aforementioned players have been granted a delayed return - giving them time to explore their options.
However, the MEN understands that the club’s medical and rehab facilities will remain available to those players, who will be welcomed back to Carrington if their futures remain unresolved during that period.
And taking to Instagram following the news on Friday, Malacia shared a series of training pictures as he awaits his next move.
He also wrote: "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. Philippians 4:11–13."
The 25-year-old's spent over a year on the sidelines with a knee injury but returned to action in November for the Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt.
He went on to make eight appearances under Ruben Amorim but spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven.
He made 12 appearances as they won the Eredivisie title, and United will be hoping to recover part of the £13 million they spent to sign him in 2022.
