Cam Newton Blasts Raiders QB Geno Smith Over Youth Football Controversy

It's the slowest part of the NFL offseason, but Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith recently made some headlines after a video surfaced online of him getting heated at a youth football game and yelling, "That's why they pay me the big bucks."

However, that wasn't the only controversy he got into involving the Overtime 7 league. C1N faced off against South Florida Express recently. Notably, former Carolina Panthers MVP quarterback Cam Newton is a coach for C1N, while Smith is a coach for South Florida Express.

Prior to the game, South Florida Express took an Auburn Newton jersey and stomped it out on the field.

Naturally, Newton wasn't too happy about that and called out the adults who allowed it to happen, including Smith.

"My issue isn't with the kids," Newton said on the "4th & 1 with Cam Newton" podcast. "My issue is with the adult that allowed the kids to do it. Now, I didn't know Geno Smith's involvement with South Florida Express prior to this week ... but if the C1N had a Geno Smith jersey and they proceeded to stomp on it, I would've stopped it instantly. So when I see actions like this, there was an adult behind this, and they allowed that. And that's what was most disrespectful about this whole situation."

It's hard to imagine Smith gave a green light for his players to stomp on Newton's jersey, and it seemed to happen very quickly. That said, it's understandable why Newton would be upset that it happened at all.
