Jens Cajuste would be a brilliant pick-up for us. At Crystal Palace, we need more midfield presence with energy and purpose. Watching him at Ipswich, he looked like someone who controlled the game without needing the spotlight. That is exactly what we need.
He is still only 24, and his experience in Italy and England is a strong foundation. Ipswich’s relegation didn’t overshadow his quality. Thirty-three games in a league that intense shows durability and consistency. If we can beat Burnley and the European clubs to him, it would be a smart bit of business. Especially knowing that Brentford were also interested before.
Roy Hodgson knew the value of a balanced midfield, and Oliver Glasner looks like he is building with a similar mindset. Cajuste could fit into a 3-4-3 or as part of a box midfield. “He may have the chance to play in the Premier League again at another club next term.” Let that club be us.
