BIG RUMORS THE DEAL IS FALLING AWAY...
I know that you don't want to keep reading about Šeško and Gyökeres, but here we are, July 4th, and we are no nearer to a striker. Things are desperate in the system. Leipzig are leaking that Berta has made no effort since Ayto left, and the energy levels aren't where they were. The Sun has shared a story that Arsenal haven't even lodged a bid, and it's unnerving the Germans.
This is too much for me… what is happening here? Are we being too clever?

I've said it 1,000 times… Arsenal data folk say Šeško is the best. He is preferred by Arteta. Why haven't we secured a deal? We've been looking at strikers for two years now.
The clock is ticking… 14 days until it’s wheels up for the preseason tour. No riots have been planned as of now, but I cannot promise that won’t change should we slink into the tour and I start seeing tweets like, “there are better deals to be had towards the end of August.”
Nico Williams… in the mixer one minute, signing a TEN-YEAR deal the next. Crazy that he's chosen to stay at Bilbao once again. But a timely reminder that the winger market is limited, and it dwindles fast. That's TWO wingers who have signed new deals—Semenyo as well. Are we risking it all for Rodrygo? It seems that way right now, my friends. I'm scared. Even more scared because Carlo thinks Roddy is a dosser.
Ethan hasn’t signed a new deal yet, and it sounds like an agreement hasn’t been as forthcoming as the club would have hoped for. The interesting twist with the story is the club seems to believe the player is more of a 10 or an 8. I thought the player was incredible as a right-sided winger last year, but I guess minutes might be hard to come by with Saka coming back to fitness. He’s not the type to come off during a game, and Arteta doesn’t like to rotate. I’m told Ethan’s off-the-ball movement was why he didn’t get many minutes as backup for Ødegaard last year—but that’s fair. He’s VERY young, and Martin Ødegaard was nowhere at Madrid when he was 18. I think we’ll get the deal signed, but one thing is for sure—no way he’s taking a loan as part of that deal.
Madueke is being linked to Arsenal SOOOOO hard right now, and I think it pains me. Johnny on the podcast had him in his fantasy team last year, and he’s obsessed with that game, and said Noni was not great for him—so much so, he can’t fall in love with the rumor. Is that a good basis for scouting? Absolutely. But I’ll go one step further… he came on against Palmeiras last night and did not look as good as he does when he plays against us. The stepovers were Per Mertesacker-like, and the game was just very rough and raw. £45m is a lot of money for someone with very poor output, and if he’s the backup to Saka, will he truly push him? He is young… so plenty of ceiling, I’m just worried we’re getting into bed with Chelsea ownership again—and it’s usually a pretty unsatisfying experience.
