Barcelona are expected to have a busy summer window with an attacker as a priority.
The Spanish giants are looking to bolster their attack after the recent sale of Ansu Fati in order to compete with rivals Real Madrid.
Since the winter, Rashford’s future with Manchester United has been predetermined after Ruben Amorim benched the attacker.
A glimpse of hope emerged for Rashford yesterday when Nico William’s decided to not join Barcelona.
Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan in January in an attempt to jump-start his career, but the Villains decided against making the £40 million move permanent.
The attacker is trying to get a permanent move away now that Rashford is back at Old Trafford.
He even plans to skip preseason to concentrate on a move away.
Barcelona has been linked to him for a while, but the La Liga team first turned him down because of his high weekly salary of £350,000.
But in recent weeks, Deco, the sports director of Barcelona, has visited with Rashford’s agent at a hotel in the Spanish capital.
And now it has been revealed that the Spanish giants are set to open talks soon.

As per Santi Aouna via X, Barcelona and Manchester United are set to open talks in the coming days regarding Marcus Rashford.
It also stated that the English left winger is highly motivated to join the Catalan club and is willing to make significant efforts to make the move happen.
Marcus Rashford’s versatility throughout the front line is known to make him a valuable asset to acquire.
Rashford’s ability to play as a striker and his quickness cutting in from the wing would bolster Barcelona’s lineup and give Robert Lewandowski a backup at centre forward.
But according to some reports, the Spanish powerhouses are only considering signing Rashford on loan, which might present a problem for United, who hope to permanently let go of the attacker.
With talks expected soon for the English winger, the Red Devils will hope for a permanent and quick sale.
