Even though Marcus Rashford’s future was uncertain at the beginning of the week, it is now even more so, if that is even feasible.
Rashford was moved out on loan to Aston Villa for the rest of the season with the possibility of making the move permanent after a confrontation with Ruben Amorim at the end of 2024.
It wasn’t to be, though, as the 27-year-old returned to Old Trafford at the end of the season, looking refreshed and having regained his place in the England national team.
But a transfer from United was still possible because Barcelona was interested in signing the talented attacker and was in negotiations with Rashford’s representatives.
Fabrizio Romano officially revealed that Matheus Cunha will in fact, take on the number 10, with Marcus Rashford having requested to be listed for transfer to leave this summer.
It’s understood that Rashford’s camp were informed of the change and now the England international’s time at Old Trafford is well and truly over.
Now, Rashford has given a major hint as his departure from his boyhood club draws nearer.

Marcus Rashford has decided to reset his social media bios on Instagram and X in which he has removed Manchester United and changed his profile picture too.
This gives a major hint towards his departure as it draws nearer, especially after his shirt number was taken from him.
Rashford is reportedly looking to give his all throughout preseason training, but this is probably just to draw in suitors and stay in form for his next team because his shirt number makes a huge statement.
Rashford is thought to be worth about £40 million to United, but his weekly salary of £315k makes any possible discussions extremely difficult.
As Rashford’s exit draws nearer, it could also open up new oppurtunities for younger talents.
