Man Utd legend sends brutal message to Marcus Rashford after losing No 10 shirt, 'find another club...'

Marcus Rashford was stripped of the iconic No 10 shirt at Manchester United this week.

There has been a lot of change at Manchester United over the past two years. From Sir Jim Ratcliffe becoming co-owner and Erik ten Hag being replaced as manager, there has been no shortage of stories surrounding the biggest club in world football.

Ruben Amorim endured a difficult first six months as head coach last season, losing the Europa League final and finishing 15th in the Premier League. There is optimism that next season will be better, and Matheus Cunha has arrived from Wolves after scoring 17 league goals last term.

United are now making attempts to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford following another impressive campaign in the top flight. The Cameroon international bagged 20 league goals and has been subject to two failed bids from United this summer.

Meanwhile, Diego Leon is expected to be unveiled as a United player following his move from Paraguay. The young left-back agreed to join the club in January but will now join the squad for the upcoming pre-season tour.

Amorim will hope to add more players to his squad, while also getting rid of those he doesn’t have any plans for, including Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Gordon Hill advises Marcus Rashford on next move

Uncertainty surrounds a lot of players at Old Trafford this summer.

For one, Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa and now looks set to leave the Premier League after falling out of favour under Amorim.

More United News

The latest hint of Rashford’s exit came this week as Cunha took the number 10 shirt ahead of the new season. United decided to give it to the new signing, but that meant taking it from Rashford.

Rashford is among the five United players told not to return for pre-season until late July.

This led to a reaction from United legend Gordon Hill, who made 126 appearances for the club between 1975 and 1978.

Hill took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to write a blunt message to Rashford suggesting he should find a new club.

It is now up to Rashford’s entourage to find him an appealing move. They won’t want to reach August with his future still in limbo because he will be missing out on pre-season preparations.

Rashford commitment questioned

Earlier this week, it was reported that Rashford would ‘give 100 per cent’ in pre-season.

That was before Amorim decided Rashford would not be part of pre-season plans at United.

It turns out Rashford’s commitment was questioned after making it known he dreams of joining Barcelona this summer.

Bayern Munich are also interested in Rashford.

Rashford is unlikely to play for United again with Amorim as head coach.
