Bayern Munich is well aware of how good Paris Saint-Germain is, but the Bavarians are eager for this Club World Cup match-up
“Paris are Champions League winners, certainly currently the best team in Europe. I would call Paris the favourites, but if we do well, we have a chance to win,” Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen told Sky (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
For midfielder, Joshua Kimmich the PSG game is a special event.
“Paris have top players in every position. They can score goals from every position. Both teams play with a lot of intensity. If I were neutral, I’d be on my couch watching this game. We’ve played very often against Paris in the past few years. The Champions League final in 2020 was the highlight of my career. PSG is a special opponent,” Kimmich stated (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Finally, midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović thinks that it will take a great effort from either team to come away the winner in a very high stakes contest.
“We watched a few scenes from the Champions League game against PSG this season. The coach told us to just play our game and give more than 100% – and that’s how we’ll approach the game. Both teams play very intense football so I think we’ll benefit from the better [weather] conditions. It’s good for us and for Paris – everything is in place to give it our all,” Pavlović said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
