Burnley have sealed the deal for Kyle Walker from Manchester City, with the seasoned England defender signing on the dotted line for a contract that will see him at Turf Moor until 2027.

Walker, 35, was tipped to bid farewell to the ex-Premier League champs after spending the latter half of the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, who passed up the chance to sign him on a permanent basis. He was also left out of City's squad for the FIFA Club World Cup as he eyed an exit.

It's now been confirmed that Walker has inked a two-year contract with the Clarets, who clinched promotion from the Championship last term.

"When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at. He's done an amazing job here, guiding the Club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul, and now we're looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world.

"Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, built on an incredible defensive record, and I can't wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks an exciting squad."

Walker had a stellar eight-year stint at Manchester City, where he bagged six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields, a UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

His transfer to Burnley will lead to a reunion with ex-Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker for the England star, who has 96 caps. Parker, now head coach at the Clarets, shared the pitch with Walker at Spurs for two years before leaving in 2013.
