Divin Mubama seemed to be poised for a substantial future as he departed West Ham United for Manchester City.
Mubama declined a new deal to remain at West Ham last summer and opted to sign for the former Premier League champions instead.
The striker made his senior debut for Pep Guardiola against Ipswich Town last season, but that was his sole appearance.
Now, the 20-year-old has sealed a loan move away from the Etihad Stadium that will leave Hammers supporters with a rye smile.

Mubama notched 16 goals in 13 appearances for Man City’s under-21s, showing he still might have a future at the highest level.

Clearly, he is a player with high aspirations as he opted to secure a move to Manchester City over remaining at West Ham.
Now, he has the chance to prove himself as a goalscorer in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
Stoke manager, Mark Robins, has an admirable record and could be the man to unlock Mubama’s potential in the Championship.
If Mubama bags a substantial number of goals, then he will be primed for a Premier League role next season.
