Why Jobe and Jude Bellingham won't play each other in Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

**The reason why Jobe and Jude Bellingham won't play each other during the Club World Cup clash between their teams has been revealed.**

On Saturday evening, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will face each other at the MetLife Stadium in perhaps the most exciting match of the Club World Cup so far.

The winner of the quarter final clash will play either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the next round.

Heading into the match, many had hoped to see England international Jude Bellingham play against younger brother Jobe after the midfielder completed a move from Sunderland to Dortmund ahead of the Club World Cup.

However, this unfortunately will not be the case as a strict competition rule will prevent the brothers from playing each other on Saturday.

In his fourth match for Dortmund, Jobe picked up a yellow card for a foul on Nelson Deossa during the 2-1 win over Mexican club Monterrey.

It marks the second yellow card that the 19-year-old has been shown while playing for his new club, having also been cautioned during Dortmund's 1-0 group stage win over South Korean side Ulsan HD.

As explained in the official rules for the Club world Cup, any player that picks up two yellow cards during the competition will receive a one-game suspension for their side's next match.

Of course, this then means that Jobe won't be available for selection for Saturday's match against Real Madrid, missing out on the chance to share the pitch with his brother for the first time.

What has Jude Bellingham said about his brother's suspension?

-------------------------------------------------------------

Ahead of the highly-anticipated match, Jude spoke with the media about the game and was later asked for his feelings about Jobe's suspension and if the pair had discussed it.

Discussing his brother’s suspension, the Madrid midfielder said: "He told me after that nobody had told him, and he wasn't sure.

"But yeah, it's a common theme with both of us, I think, with yellow cards and suspensions. It's just one of those things."

He added: "It would have been lovely for me and my family, for both of us, something that we've obviously dreamed of, but I'm sure it will come around again.

"That's part of football, so we have to accept it."
