Newcastle United are eyeing a move to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko this summer after he opened the door to a move, according to Football Insider.
The Magpies are keen to strengthen their squad during the transfer window as they prepare for a second Champions League campaign in three years, having finished 5th in the Premier League and ended their 70-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup.
So far the club have struggled to recruit with a lot of their top targets deciding to move elsewhere or being priced out of a move to St James' Park, but they are now looking at a cut-price deal for the Belgium international.

Johan Bakayoko in action for PSV Eindhoven
Bakayoko, who has been described as 'lethal', is entering the final 12 months of his contract with PSV Eindhoven after helping the side claim the Eredivisie title ahead of Ajax in 2024/25, and an exit is expected.
The 22-year-old is a long-term target for the Magpies, with big interest during the January transfer window before the Dutch side opted against selling him. But now they are looking at him once again, as the plan to strengthen their right-wing position.
Belgium international Bakayoko is expected to leave for a cut-price fee compared to the £40m PSV wanted 12 months ago, and it has now emerged that he would be open to joining Newcastle if the right offer was presented to both him and his club.

Newcastle are already said to be pushing ahead with a deal to sign Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga after submitting a £55m deal, but work is needed to convince the player to join while there is still no agreement between clubs either.
But while they work on a deal for the Sweden star, a move for Bakayoko remains a possibility with Eddie Howe keen on the player and everyone understanding that an exit is on the cards during this transfer window.
