Bruno Guimaraes gets insane Newcastle United tattoo - supporters will love this

Bruno Guimaraes has taken another step towards legendary status at Newcastle United.

Bruno Guimaraes has cemented his love for Newcastle United with a tattoo commemorating the Carabao Cup triumph.

The Brazilian captained Eddie Howe’s men as they ended their trophy hoodoo in March. Emotional scenes emanated around Wembley at the full-time whistle as Newcastle clinched domestic silverware for the first time in 70 years.

Guimaraes - who promised to etch his name in the club’s history - did exactly that and burst into tears of joy during the celebrations. He also took centre stage when the Carabao Cup was paraded a fortnight later - endearing himself to Toon fans more by mocking bitter rivals Sunderland.

Carabao Cup trophy tattoo

The 27-year-old confirmed his adopted Geordie status with a fresh ink that will go down a treat on Tyneside. An Instagram story read: “16/03/2025 always in my mind and now in my body.”

Bruno Guimaraes on Newcastle United signings

Guimaraes has made no secret of his belief that Newcastle must bolster their ranks this summer. He said after the final-day defeat to Everton: “We have improved a lot, but I think we’re not at the level that I want. I think for next season, we are going to need more players to be honest with you because I think the squad is a little bit short.

“We have seen it last year when we played in the Champions League, we lost some players for injury and then it was busy for us. I think we can improve our level because next year, our season will have one more competition. We need to work hard now, have an amazing holiday. We need to improve of course but we’re very, very happy."

More trophies the aim

The Brazilian has hit sights set on achieving more success at St James’ Park. He said: “For me, the cup is not enough. I want more. The most difficult part was the first step and we did that.

“I now want to finish second, get Champions League and win more things next season. I don’t know when but I believe we can win the Premier League one day. I’m happy, I’m very excited about the future of this club and I hope I am part of it.”
