As the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup continue to proceed, the game between Bayern Munich and the 2024/25 Champions League winners, PSG, has featured a distressing injury to one of football's brightest stars, Jamal Musiala.

With Fluminense and Chelsea already announced for the semi-finals of the remodelled Club World Cup tournament, one of either PSG or Bayern Munich will be facing one of either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the other semi-final contest.

As half-time approached and the scoreboard read 0-0, an unexciting contest seemed on course to take a 15-minute break. However, as Willian Pacho attempted to guard the ball into the hands of his goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, an ever-so-eager Jamal Musiala tracked down the ball. Hoping to retrieve the ball, the German international ended up getting tangled up with the Italian goalkeeper, with the footage revealing what seems to be a broken ankle on the left foot of Musiala.
