West Ham need to make sales this summer, and Mohammed Kudus now appears almost certain to depart.

Kudus endured a tough campaign last season as the Hammers disappointed, but he has had a positive time in East London overall since he arrived from Ajax two years ago.

West Ham’s difficult financial position means they need to raise money through sales, and as one of their most valuable assets, Kudus is likely to be sold.

Tottenham have shown interest in the Ghanaian, but there has now been a development at Chelsea which could see the Blues win the race for the winger.

Noni Madueke open to Arsenal as Chelsea eye Kudus

There could be a series of transfers within the Premier League leading to Kudus’ exit from West Ham, and a move to Chelsea now seems more likely.

Chelsea have a lot of options on the wing, but it now appears that Noni Madueke could be moving to Arsenal, which would free up space and funds for the Blues to sign Kudus.

Kudus’ record last season

As reported by Fabrizio Romano via X (5 July), Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Madueke, with club-to-club talks set to begin.

If Chelsea can earn a significant fee for the 23-year-old, they could look to replace him with Kudus, and Arsenal’s move for Madueke would then help fund West Ham’s summer transfer window.

West Ham need to close Kudus sale quickly

With it clear that Kudus has no future at West Ham, a sale needs to be made as quickly as possible to help Graham Potter.

Kudus has a lot of resale value, and West Ham could be set to make a tidy profit on the attacker, which they could then reinvest into the rest of the squad.

West Ham still need to strengthen across the pitch, with goalkeeper Zion Suzuki set to lead the rebuild from back to front, and Kudus’ exit will help fund this.

The longer the Kudus saga drags on, the less time West Ham will have to bring in the necessary players to improve from their dismal showings last season.
