Jack Harrison struggled for Everton last season during his latest loan move from Leeds.

The winger managed just one goal in 34 Premier League matches during his second consecutive campaign on loan at Goodison Park.

David Moyes’ side are now looking to strengthen their attack, with Harrison emerging as a surprise potential target despite the 28-year-old’s disappointing time on Merseyside so far.

Alan Myers reveals talks of potential Harrison return

Fans have been left shocked at the possibility of the Toffees holding talks to make Harrison’s stay at Everton permanent.

The Blues have only made one signing this summer, turning Carlos Alcaraz’s loan into a permanent stay, and must now focus on adding strength and depth to their squad.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Responding to a fan on X, Alan Myers shared “there was some talk” of Harrison returning to Everton at the end of his loan, but he hasn’t heard anything since.

Moyes needs to refresh his side, and seemingly, Harrison has not done enough to convince the boss that he could be part of a big change.

Harrison has previously hinted that he would be keen to extend his stay with Everton, though, and it has been suggested that it could still be on the cards.

Leeds are likely to listen to offers for the winger who doesn’t look to be in Daniel Farke’s plans.

Everton falling behind in transfer window

If Everton are going to compete next season, they need to do more than just extend Michael Keane’s contract.

Keeping fellow centre-back Jarred Branthwaite on Merseyside will bolster Everton’s chances next season, but Moyes must now move fast to prepare for a busy schedule next campaign.

The Friedkin Group will need to invest in Moyes’ squad, and a deal for Villarreal striker Thierno Barry is believed to be close.

If Harrison does rejoin, he must be used as a utility player, as fans won’t have the patience to put up with his lack of end product.

It would be a type of move that the former ownership would have done, and Everton must avoid making the same mistakes.
