Newcastle United could welcome four new faces to St. James' Park next week. The Magpies have had a slow start to the summer transfer window, with .

The Premier League outfit managed to wrap up a deal for Antonio Cordero at the start of last month. Newcastle signed the 18-year-old winger following the expiration of his contract at Malaga, where .

It's also said that the Magpies are yet to agree personal terms with Elanga. claim that Newcastle have recently submitted an improved offer worth £55m for the Sweden international after an initial £45m bid was knocked back.

The report claims that Elanga is one of Howe's 'top targets', and he's thought to be 'intrigued by the project'. After missing out on Joao Pedro to Chelsea, Newcastle must do what it takes to land the former Manchester United ace.

Scalvini would be a great coup for Newcastle. According to , Newcastle view the Atalanta defender as a 'top target' as they look to strengthen Howe's backline in preparation for the Champions League.

The report claims Scalvini, who bounced back well from two serious injuries last season, could be available for £30m. In 2021, Gian Piero Gasperini tipped him to become the 'new Alessandro Bastoni'.

As quoted by , the 21-year-old centre-back's former Atalanta manager said: "In my opinion, Scalvini is here [in the first-team] this year. He's giving me excellent sensations.

"He may be a new Bastoni, but right now it's a feeling. In certain positions, Atalanta can use the academy a lot, without wasting resources on players from elsewhere."
