Diogo Jota’s wife and family were joined yesterday by football stars from around the world, for the funeral in Portugal of the Liverpool footballer and his brother, following their death last week in a car crash in Spain.
The father-of-three, who married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso only 11 days before the accident, died beside his brother, Andre Silva, after the Lamborghini they were travelling in burst into flames following a suspected tyre blowout.
