Aston Villa have once again shown an interest in Ferran Torres.
The Spain international has been constantly linked with a move to Villa Park in recent years after a mixed spell at Barcelona.
As a result, it is little surprise to learn that the Villans are looking into the possibility of signing the 25-year-old as the summer window moves deeper.
With that being said, anxiety looks to be growing in the Midlands as the claret and blue outfit await a deal for the versatile attacker.

There is a genuine need for attacking options in claret and blue, ready for next campaign after the loss of Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford at the end of their loan spells.
This could see a move for the Spaniard make complete sense if Barcelona are to let the forward leave in the coming weeks.

A deal may be scuppered after the Catalan outfit missed out on Nico Williams, but that is unlikely to stop Unai Emery and Co. this summer.
This comes after serious interest emerged from B6 [Birmingham Mail, 2 July], something which could finally be activated ahead of the new Premier League season.
Former Brentford and Leicester City boss Martin Allen believes Torres could cost around £50million as anxiety begins to set in at Villa Park.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “He’s a really good player, that would be massive for Aston Villa.
“The problem is for them is when they get into such a good position, as they are now, the strengthening of the squad means it’s only worth signing players who make the team better.
“Emery won’t be looking for too many signings, but he will be looking for quality.
“Who comes in has to be a top, top player otherwise, it’s not worth it. He is that, let’s be honest, and I’m sure Villa will want him.
“I wouldn’t expect him to go for below £50m, that seems to be the going rate for this type of player.
“*I’m sure Villa fans are a little bit anxious at this stage, having not signed too many players.*“

There will be genuine hope of finally landing his signature as Monchi assesses a number of transfer targets before the season begins.
To join someone like Morgan Rogers in the forward line could prove to be excellent from a quality and experience point of view in B6.
Whether a deal can be agreed with Barcelona is yet to be seen, but fans will certainly be hopeful of pushing a deal over the line.
