Everton need a productive week, after a slow start to the summer on the incomings front.
The club have only turned Carlos Alcaraz’s loan move permanent so far, with the focus having been on players leaving the club.
A host of players have now departed, either at the end of their contracts, or at the end of their loan spells.
Earlier in the summer, David Moyes saw two of his goalkeepers leave the club in Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia.
That means the Scot now needs at least one new stopper to serve as a back-up to Jordan Pickford.
Everton have been linked with Michael Cooper of Sheffield United.
And just today, it has been claimed that Everton are actually lining up a bid for Cooper.
But it’s also being suggested that the Toffees could go head to head with Manchester United for a player from Brazil.

According to Globo Esporte, Everton have sounded out Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor as a potential signing.
It is noted that John has appeared on several clubs’ radars after some impressive performances at the Club World Cup recently.
One of those displays saw him keep a clean sheet against Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
It is claimed that Everton and Manchester United are both interested in John, but frustratingly for Moyes, it is United who currently have ‘the most frequent contacts with the player’s staff’.
In a potential blow for Everton, United’s goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital is said to have even made contact with people from Botafogo to get information on the player.
How much John Victor would cost Everton
Whether John would be willing to make a move to Everton remains to be seen.
He is currently Botafogo’s number one goalkeeper, meaning he is playing regularly.
As he has been on the fringes of the Brazil squad in recent times. Having appeared on three pre-lists but ultimately not getting called up, it may not be in his best interests to leave Botafogo.

But equally, the lure of joining a Premier League club may be too strong.
He would be second fiddle to Pickford if he came to Everton, but the Toffees need to get someone in – and as per a report from Goal, John would cost around £6 million this summer, which is thought to be the value of his release clause.
